"Living near Lake Erie, various types of gulls are abundant on the
beaches I frequent. I find them to be fascinating and resourceful
birds. This highly stylized vision is one I imagined to take place on a
cold, moonlit fall night as flakes of snow drift down. I painted this with
watercolour and acrylic on a prepared and textured hardboard, and
sealed it with art varnish."
